I stayed home on Black Friday except for a short trip to the local movie theater with my daughter to see New Moon. It was okay but not great. Definitely had a "to be continued" ending, but considering there are 4 books and this is only the second, that is not really surprising. As for shopping on Black Friday, you could not pay me enough money to get up and shop at 4 AM while fighting crowds. There is a reason that I only shop during the day during the week for the most part.

Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Again
And I am currently working on two projects that I am really liking, a pair of mystery socks from the Through the Loops group on Ravelry and the Raglan Rust sweater from Knitter's magazine, winter 2008. It is knit with two strands of sock yarn held together and I am loving it. Mine, of course, is not rust and has just a bit of purple in it. I am using one strand of Noro Kuryeon sock and one strand of Knitpicks. The two skeins don't look all that great together, but they make the greatest tweedy fabric. I am working on the sleeves right now since I want to make them longer than the 3/4 ones in the pattern and I don't want to be worrying about having enough yarn left. After the sleeves are done, then I will go back and finish the body and can decide on the length based on the amount of yarn at that point.
